Initial Interest and Availability: 2018 Summer Program
By selecting to participate in PAIR’s Summer Program, you understand you are committing to attend each program day. The program will meet July 9-27 from Monday through Friday. Volunteers are expected to be on site by 9:30 AM and may be expected to stay until 2:30 PM. Absences are permitted only in the event of an emergency. In the event you must miss a session, you will contact PAIR program staff. You understand that making this commitment means that your fellow volunteers and your assigned small group of students are depending on your attendance and support at each session.

Initial Interest and Availability: High School Individual Mentoring
PAIR’s individual mentoring program for juniors and seniors in high school strives to help refugee youth graduate from high school, explore careers, and apply for post-secondary education. The pairs meet at their own designated time and location. However, the majority of the students live in Southwest Houston and will rely on their mentor for any necessary transportation. Mentors must be 21 or older, have access to an insured vehicle, and be comfortable driving mentees in their personal vehicle. The commitment is for one calendar year (9/1/2018-8/31/2019) for a minimum of 6 hours per month. Experience with youth or newcomers is a plus. Upon receipt of this application, the Volunteer Coordinator or Program Manager will reach out to you if you are deemed a suitable candidate for the program. Personal references, criminal, and driving background checks will be required later in the process.

Initial Interest and Availability: Other Special Opportunities
If you are not able to join our program but have other skills to offer, we would still love to have you! Please feel free to provide comments related to your selection in the “Other” box. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to customize additional opportunities for you, but we would love to follow up with you to discuss additional interests and determine if we can find the right fit for you to get involved with PAIR!
