Hello PAIR members!

We hope you had an excellent break and were able to rest up from the fall.

Some PAIR programs took a while to get started last semester, but this spring gear up for the start of programs NEXT WEEK!  We've still got:
Mentoring/Tutoring at Fondren Middle School Monday and Thursday afternoons
College Counseling WEDNESDAY (possibly Saturday) afternoons
Saturday Sessions Saturday afternoons

Come to our general meeting next Wednesday 8pm, Jan. 20th to learn more.  Also come munch on snacks!  Place TBA but probably Huma.  Meet officers and find out what they've got planned for each program.
We're always looking for interested, dedicated volunteers.  A PAIR volunteer experience is always a tremendous learning experience that trains you in not just outreach but also program design, collaboration, event planning, and teaching.  So give it a shot.

ALSO, we have a really exciting publicity opportunity coming up next week you should all go to.  The United Nations Association of Houston holds a monthly event called the World Cafe Series, at Salento Cafe in the Village, that focuses on a particular nonprofit cause.  For January, that cause is PAIR!!  It'll be next Tuesday at 7pm.

Refugee Youth:

There should be a really cool African art installation coming to the Rice Gallery later this month, so look out for that.
Otherwise, mark:

Wednesday Jan. 20 8pm PAIR general meeting and study break!
